Passage: Hebrews 10:23-25
Sermon Notes:
1. Keep on reminding yourself and others of the hope we have in Christ. (v. 23)
- This hope we have is not wishful thinking.
- Our hope is logical.
- Our hope is a secure promise.
2. Those that keep on holding to the hope have saving faith. (v. 23)
3. God is a promise keeper. (v. 23)
- Our salvation is held fast by Jesus and the Father.
4. Stir up one another… (v. 24)
- Strategize
- Surround yourself with people that stir you up.
5. Don’t give up on the Church (v. 25)
- You get out what you put in.
- The Church will always need you. You will always need the Church.
6. Encourage one another (v. 25)
- Be Jesus. Be gracious and compassionate.
- Exhort and encourage.
7. The Day of Salvation/Judgment is near (v. 25)
- Corporate Salvation: another reason we should not neglect to meet together.
- A reminder that Judgment is imminent.
- Encourage Christians to hold fast.
- Give hope to unbelievers.
