About Our Studies

All of our Bible Studies, Life Groups and outreach ministries (like “GriefShare,” and “DivorceCare”) have one goal: to produce mature followers of Jesus in community. That’s another way of saying, “multiply committed followers of Jesus.” So, the question remains, “How do I choose which group is right for me?”

BIBLE STUDIES
Bible studies seek to teach us what God says to us in the Bible so that we can submit our lives, desires and behavior to him. Bible studies might be organized around who we are (a women’s study, men’s study, or study for young adults) or simply be a general study open to all (such as our Sunday morning “Equip” study). Peruse the various studies below and choose a study and time which works great for you. Our studies are all “drop-in studies,” which means that you are welcome to drop-in and check the study out any time that works for you.

LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups are groups of 8-14 people which meet in people’s homes about twice per month for the purpose of prayerfully applying the Sunday morning teaching to our everyday lives. In these groups we make friends, encourage each other to live out the Scriptures and pray for one another, especially in the area of being and making disciples for Jesus Christ. You can find out much more about Life Groups here.

The bottom line: we are better together. We learn to follow Jesus in small, Bible-saturated communities. And we long for everyone to follow Jesus more closely.

Men

Men's Bible Study

Wednesdays, 9:30-11 am

As we study the book of Acts, we'll put ourselves in the place of the disciples - feel with them as they are filled with the Holy Spirit and thrill with them as they see thousands respond to the gospel message. We'll sense their commitment as they give every ounce of talent and treasure to Christ and commit ourselves to do the same.

More Like Jesus: Gospel of John Study

Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm in Superior

More Like Jesus

When the men who love Jesus show up, we help each other, encourage one another, give up our lives to know God, and serve our people - to serve his people. This church is full of men who are doing this. Men who are excellent at their careers and crafts. Men who guard the perimeters so there is safety and growth within the borders.

As men, we need daily reminders that Jesus is both the reason that we live and the strength to keep on going. Those men who step up are the ones becoming More Like Jesus. When the men who love Jesus show up, we help each other, encourage one another, give up our lives to know God, and serve our people - to serve his people. Gospel of John

Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm (running concurrently with KidsMin and Student Ministries), we'll study all the reasons that John lays out for us to believe that Jesus is the one and only Messiah whom God promised would come. Men, he has come. And he has changed everything.

A collaboration of excellent teachers will lead us, and we will encourage one another. More than a study, this is an opportunity to participate, grow and change. If you have questions, reach out to Jeff Kuhlow, Tom Olson, Josh McKinley, Jon Vrzal, or Jon MacDonald.

He Leads Me: A Study of Psalm 23

Wednesdays, April 3 - 17 at 6:30
Fireside Room

Psalm 23 is a favorite psalm for many. It is a rich and comforting picture of our God, who shepherds and cares for His sheep. Even in times of darkness and struggle, our God is always with us and leading us.

This study will help us:

  • Grow a deeper appreciation of a well-known and beloved psalm
  • Find comfort in the words of Scripture
  • Rest in the person and work of Jesus Christ
Nikki MacDonald leads this study on Wednesdays, April 3-17, at 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room.

You can order your book from thedailygraceco.com (order the men's version; the women's version is out of print, but the content is the same).

Wednesday Morning Women's Study

Young Adults Bible Study

Tuesdays, January 9-April 30
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Room: Harbor

Young Adults gather and study Scripture for the growing of faith in Christ as well as relationships with each other. The schedule includes one community fellowship night per month.

Our current study focuses on the Book of Hebrews using the book, "Standing Firm in Christ," by Jon Nielson.

How do we stand firm in faith? Throughout the ages, Christians have experienced persecution, spiritual apathy, and suffering of all kinds. The book of Hebrews captures our deep struggles and, with a message of hope and warning, points us to the surpassing supremacy of Jesus Christ.

If you would like more information or to get on the notification list for the community nights, email Bethany Hegle at  .

The Lamp
Join us at 9:30 am on Sundays in the Worship Center.

The Word of God is “a lamp” to our feet. (Psalm 119:105) This means that as we make forward movement in our lives, we must consciously rely upon the promises, principles, and direction that come from the Bible. The word “lamp” indicates that the Word is not a searchlight, illuminating huge pathways, but a focused light, providing just enough insight and instruction to “take the next step” on life's journey. That’s how God and his Word work as he leads us.
