On-Site Worship

We are so thankful to resume meeting in-person to worship the Lord together at 8am and 9:30 am.

We know that meeting in-person is not yet for everyone. Some people may be in higher-risk situations or work closely with people who are at higher risk. Others may simply want to take a "wait and see" approach.  We completely understand! There are leaders in the church who have extenuating circumstances who encouraged us to open the doors on June 7, but who themselves will not attend in-person services just yet. By God's grace, we always intend to provide a Live Stream service at 9:30am. Please attend the worship service that is best for you and your family!

Please know that we are taking physical-distance guidelines seriously. We have disinfected and prepared the rooms. We will significantly reduce our worship center capacities and encourage physical distance. We will not pass the offering plates. A crew of people will be cleaning frequently used areas (such as bathrooms and hallways) throughout the morning. Masks will be available for those who prefer to use them. All of us should embrace the fact that this is not business as usual.

But we will meet together! What joy!  I was glad when they said to me, "Let's go to the house of the Lord!" (Psalm 122:1)

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE 8am SERVICE

  • Please park in the East Parking lot and use Entrance A (under the "Arch").  Arriving and leaving through Entrance A will help with traffic flow.
  • Our nursery and Children's Ministry programming have resumed. However, if you choose to have your children accompany you to the service, feel free to pick up a Sermon Activity Bag to help your children engage (draw pictures, color, or take notes) during the sermon time. Several different age-appropriate items are included in each activity bag.
  • Every-other pew in the Sanctuary will be blocked-off, reducing the capacity of the Sanctuary to 50%. We encourage each family unit to distance themselves from other family units.
  • Church Bibles that are used during the service should be left on the pew as you exit to be disinfected.
  • The service will be slightly shorter than usual, allowing for a longer passing period between services. The choir is off until later in the summer.
  • The Sanctuary restrooms will be open and regularly disinfected.
  • We will not provide coffee (don't worry, this is temporary!).
  • At the conclusion of the service, the pews in the Sanctuary will need to be disinfected in preparation for using the Sanctuary side-screens as an overflow for the 9:30 service. We will need to be sensitive to the needs of our volunteer staff as they disinfect and prepare the room.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE 9:30 am SERVICE

  • Please park in the West Parking lot and use Entrance D.  NOTE: if the Multi-Purpose Room reaches capacity, you may be directed to the Sanctuary (video overflow room) for seating.
  • Every other row of seats will be removed from the Multi-Purpose Room.  We encourage each family unit to distance themselves from other family units.  Fewer seats plus physical distancing will cut our capacity in the MPR to about 30%.
  • Once the MPR fills up, we will use the Sanctuary side screens as an overflow site. Some 9:30 service attendees may feel more comfortable in the Sanctuary overflow area which is very spacious.
  • The restrooms will be open and regularly disinfected.
  • We will not provide coffee (don't worry, this is temporary!). Coffee will be provided for our Worship Teams (singers, instrumentalists, and tech team) who are here for many hours on Sunday mornings.
  • At the conclusion of the service, you may need to pace yourself to exit via Entrance D. Feel free to exit via other doors and walk around the building to your vehicle.

WHAT TO EXPECT ABOUT FUTURE IN-PERSON SERVICES

  • A decision about when we will add the 11an service will be made soon.
  • A decision about when to add Sonshine and Adult Ministries and Choir will be made soon.
    • Adult Ministry:  Please take advantage of the Dr. Walter Kaiser videos which are new on YouTube every Sunday at 11am
    • Sonshine Ministry: Sonshine Ministries are aimed at a very at-risk group of beloved people!  We do not want to phase this ministry in too soon.
    • Choir:  The nature of choir (robust singing which "shares the air") makes their practice time one of the most bacteria-spreading hours of the week! We really want to protect our beloved choir!
