Because we absolutely trust God . . .

We pray for our earthly king. (1-5)

We pray for earthly authorities, both good and evil (see 1 Timothy 2:1-3)

The content of the prayers for our earthly authorities (1-5)

We refuse to trust anything or anyone else. (6-8)

Those who trust the Lord know His Word.

Those who trust the Lord review His faithfulness.

Those who trust the Lord refuse to trust military might.

We look for His salvation. (9)

Those who trust the Lord will not be put to shame.

The victorious King is Jesus Christ, Himself.
