Faith Community Nursing

Faith Community Nursing

Faith Community Nursing serves our church family by extending the love of Jesus through a holistic view of health and wellness among our church community.

This is done through compassion, nurturing, education, and encouraging others towards positive behaviors. FCN assists with medical needs, promoting health and wellness among our church family, and distributing relevant medical-related information and encouragement in our twice-yearly newsletter called The Honeycomb.

FCN Is Here For Our Church Family

Navigating the world of medicine -- whether it be long-term care, a recent diagnosis, or preventative health -- can be overwhelming at times. FCN desires to come alongside you and help make that journey a bit easier. Among many other ways to help, we're here to:

  • Make a phone call or visit to see how things are going, relaying updates to pastors and elders
  • Maintain a medical equipment closet containing items that can be borrowed as needed
  • Assist with Advanced Directives
  • Blood pressure screenings
  • First aid/CPR classes*

*Heartsaver and Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR classes are available for anyone interested in becoming certified. For more details, contact FCN Coordinator Kristie Ahlborg, certified CPR instructor.

Serving Together

Did you know you don't have to have a medical background to be involved with FCN? FCN also looks to encourage our church family by matching volunteers ready to assist others with non-medical needs, such as running an errand, light housework, or reading Scripture.

If you'd like to volunteer, please fill out the following form to be contacted when a need arises. Thank you!
