For Unto Us | 2025 Advent Series

Have you gotten cynical about the Christmas season? When we are young, we anticipate, get our hopes up, and convince ourselves that “this year, things will be different.” As we get older, it’s easy to get apathetic, especially about Christmas. If that’s where you are, then we have a series for you this Advent season. Isaiah wrote about Jesus almost 3,000 years ago. He was trying to tell the people of his day, “Hey, if you keep setting your hopes on religion or leaders or politics or yourself, you’re going to be disappointed—day after day, and year after year.”

Our Advent series, “For Unto Us,” settles in on Isaiah 9:6 and focuses on four keys to putting disappointment and apathy behind us:

  • Trusting Jesus to be our Wonderful Counselor.
  • Trusting Jesus to be our Mighty God.
  • Trusting Jesus to be our Everlasting Father.
  • Trusting Jesus to be our Prince of Peace.

This will be a fresh look at Christ this Christmas.
