1 Samuel 1:1-28: The God Who Hears

Happy Mother’s Day! On this day, we honor the God who instituted motherhood and designed it to be an important manifestation of His care and His love.

Some of us had amazing mothers who exercised wisdom and sacrificed greatly so that we could grow up safe and sound. Others may not have experienced that kind of childhood. Some enjoy the blessing of children. Others are still waiting to hold a baby in their arms. Some have experienced the devastating loss of a child.

Regardless of your experience with your mother or motherhood itself, we all have one thing in common: We live in a difficult world and are desperately in need of a loving savior, a God who cares deeply and who hears us when we cry out to Him.
