Ezekiel 38: Gog & Magog, Part 1

Passage: Ezekiel 38:1-23

The Bible describes a future day when a coalition of seven nations, which are
hostile toward Israel, join forces to wage war against the Jews. The commander-
in-chief of these military forces is referred to as Gog, who is described as a ruler
of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. Ezekiel 38:15 describes Gog as coming from out of
the uttermost parts of the north. When we examine today’s maps, we note that
Moscow is north of Israel.

The first member of the seven nation coalition is Persia, which today would
include the regions of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. What is interesting is that
the Russian and Iranian people come from a common Indo-European ethnic
stock. As we examine the nature of this invasion, our eyes rest upon God’s
purpose stated in 38:16, which declares In the latter days I will bring you against
my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my
holiness before their eyes.

As We Examine The Battle Of Gog & Magog, Note...

• The Military Alliance Being Described. (1-6)
• The Political Intentions Being Disclosed. (7-13)
• The Sovereign Purpose Being Revealed. (14-16)
• The Final Outcome Being Assured. (17-23)
