Job 10:8-12: The Hands That Fashioned Us

Passage: Job 10:8-12

It was on January 22, 1973, when the Supreme Court of the United States
announced it’s decision regarding abortion in the case of Roe v. Wade. The
decision, made by a 7-2 majority, overturned laws restricting or prohibiting
abortion in all states across the nation. The majority claimed to have found
this right in the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, arguing for a right to
privacy in the due process portion of the amendment.

On December 1, 2021, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case
of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. In light of this recent
case, the possibility exists that Roe v. Wade be either overturned or else
modified and restricted in its application. The decision is expected to be
announced later this year. As we do on a yearly basis, we are pausing on
this Sanctity of Human Life Weekend, and exploring how to apply biblical
principles that promote a culture of life.

As We Consider The Nature Of Human Life, Note...

  • The Beginning Of Life, And The Emotions Being Expressed. (8)
  • The Development Of Life, And The Questions Being Posed. (9-10)
  • The Granting Of Life, And The Spirit Being Preserved. (11-12)
